The Burned Pharaoh
A young, handsome SCUBA instructor working in Key West, Florida.
Carlos “Charlie” Reynes spent the earliest parts of his life aboard cruise ships. His mother, who became pregnant with Charlie after a one-night encounter while working in a shipboard casino, returned to her job as soon as she was able. With no family to watch over Charlie, he had the run of the various ships his mother worked, and saw much of the Caribbean before his 10th birthday. His early lack of discipline continued into his young adulthood; Charlie dropped out of college after his freshman year to work as a party boat captain. After a drunken accident claimed the boat on which he worked, and caused the death of several inebriated partygoers, Charlie had the most terrifying experience of his life. Suddenly sober, he found himself underwater and face-to-snout with his father, Tlaloc, the Aztec God of fertility and drowned sacrifice. With no future prospects to speak of, Charlie agreed to further his father’s agenda in the mortal world and was gifted with a series of divine birthrights.
