The Burned Pharaoh
Liam and Rowena Gannon
Abandoned by their parents, William Gannon and his twin sister Rowena spent their early lives in the foster care system. Shuttled from home to home throughout Boston, the Gannons never remained with one family for very long. If Liam’s violent outbursts were not enough to discourage hopeful foster parents, Rowena’s near-autistic strangeness often was. On the few occasions that their behavior was not enough to have them returned to the state, bizarre accidents befell their prospective new families. The twins were never demonstrably responsible for these occurrences, but eventually potential foster parents stopped coming. As young adults the Gannon twins found frequent trouble with the law; during Liam’s prison term for burglary Rowena racked up several arrests for prostitution, but was never convicted. After several years of quiet, the two have resurfaced in New Mexico.
